Baraati and family safas in Vadodara

A baraat in matching safas looks complete in every photograph, from the varghodo to the mandap. We arrange safas for parents, relatives and friends, in one colour or a planned mix.

Planned for the whole procession

Family safas are usually decided last and in a hurry. Planning them alongside the groom’s safa keeps the colours in harmony and saves the wedding morning from confusion.

Tell us how many people will walk in the baraat and any colour theme from the card or décor. We will suggest a plan that sets the groom apart while keeping the family together in photographs.

What you can choose

  • One colour for everyone, or a planned mix
  • A distinct style for fathers, uncles and elders
  • Colours coordinated with the groom’s safa
  • Phetas for women in the family or a friends’ group
  • Brooches to finish family safas

Colour plans that work for a baraat

Decide this early. It is the one choice that shapes how the whole procession looks.

One colour for everyone

The simplest and most striking. Pastel stripes, saffron, or a colour from the wedding theme, with the groom’s safa set apart by fabric or kalgi.

Family in one shade, friends in another

Makes it easy to see who is who in photographs, and lets the groom’s side and close friends each have their own look.

A distinct colour for elders

Fathers, uncles and grandfathers often prefer a quieter print or a traditional shade that suits their sherwani or jodhpuri.

Planning the numbers

  • List everyone who will walk in the baraat, and count men, women and elders separately
  • Tell us if children will wear safas, with their approximate ages
  • Keep a little room for relatives who confirm late
  • Choose one person to coordinate with us on the day
  • Share the venue and the time the baraat leaves

On the wedding day

The baraat cannot leave until the last person is ready. Fix a reporting time well before departure, gather everyone in one room near the start of the procession, and dress elders and the groom’s immediate family first.

For women in the family or a friends’ group who would like phetas, see phetas for events and groups. Our baraat planning guide has more detail.

A suggested timeline

  1. Once the guest list settles

Share the approximate headcount and a colour idea so we can plan quantities.

  2. A few weeks before

  3. The week of the wedding

Confirm the reporting time, venue and one coordinator’s number.

  4. The wedding day

Gather everyone in one place before the baraat leaves.

  5. After the celebration

Collect every safa in one bag at the venue and return them as agreed.
