About Aditya Safawala
A safa store on Priya Cinema Road in Gotri, Vadodara, dressing grooms, families and baraats for weddings, groups for events, and Ganpati for the festival.
We would rather spend ten more minutes holding colours against your sherwani than send you home with a safa that is almost right.
What we do
We dress the groom from the safa down: choosing the safa and its kalgi or brooch, the mala and dupatta, and, when you need it, the sherwani. Then we make sure the people walking beside him look right too, with matching safas for family and friends.
The same craft carries into other celebrations. We prepare phetas for women’s groups, performances and processions, and pagdis for Ganpati idols during Ganeshotsav.
What you will find at the store
Safas tied and displayed on heads so you can see the shape and drape, shelves of safa fabrics in prints and plains, and a counter of kalgis, brooches and talwars to finish the look.
Seeing a safa in person, against your own sherwani, is the quickest way to decide. Plan your visit.
The store in Gotri
We are on Priya Cinema Road, opposite Dutt Nagar and opposite Bapa Sita Ram Temple. Come with your sherwani or dupatta, or with photos, and we will lay out options for you.

How we work
Your outfit comes first
We suggest safas based on your sherwani, the bride’s colours and the ceremony, not on what is easiest to hand over.
Clear quotes
You know the charges, any deposit and the return date before you confirm a booking.
Ready for your date
Once booked, your styles and quantities are kept ready, so the morning of the wedding is not spent searching.
Safa, pagdi and pheta
Three words families use for different turban styles. Our guide explains them in detail.
Safa
Wrapped from a long length of fabric, with pleats at one side and a tail at the back. The classic choice for the groom and baraat.
Pagdi
The broadest word for a turban, also used for structured styles such as the Peshwai pagdi often seen on Ganpati.
Pheta
The Maharashtrian turban with a fanned crest and tail, popular for festivals, processions and group performances.
