Groom safa and wedding pagdi in Vadodara
The safa is the first thing people notice in the varghodo, at the mandap and in every photograph. We help you choose a colour, fabric and finish that suit your sherwani and the bride’s outfit, then complete it with a kalgi or brooch.
A safa chosen with you, not for you
Every groom arrives with a different starting point: a sherwani already stitched, a dupatta from the family, a colour the bride has asked for, or nothing decided at all. We start from what you have.
At our store in Gotri you can see safas in hand, compare plain, printed and bordered fabrics, and try the finish with a kalgi before you decide. If you cannot visit, send clear photos on WhatsApp and we will suggest options.
What you can choose
- Safa colour and fabric to suit your sherwani
- Plain, printed, jaal or zari-bordered styles
- A kalgi, brooch or feather for the front
- Mala and dupatta to complete the look
- Matching or coordinated safas for the family

Three decisions that shape your safa
Try the safa colour planner or read our colour guide for more.
Start from the sherwani
Ivory and pastel sherwanis suit a tone-on-tone safa with a coloured border, or a soft shade taken from the embroidery. Rich maroon or wine sherwanis look balanced with an ivory or gold safa.
Think about the bride’s colours
You will stand side by side in most photographs. If she wears red, an ivory, gold or peach safa lets her colour lead while still looking festive.
Choose the finish
A stone kalgi, a feather, a zari band or a printed tail. Match the metal to your mala and buttons: gold with gold, pearl and silver with white.

Questions
Can you match a safa to my sherwani?
Yes. Bring the sherwani or dupatta to the store, or send clear daylight photos on WhatsApp, and we will show safa colours and borders that work with it.
Is the kalgi included with the safa?
Tell us the look you want and we will include the kalgi or brooch in your quote, so you know exactly what you are getting before you book.
Can the safa be tied at our home or venue?
Tell us your venue, date and the time you need to be ready when you enquire, and we will confirm what we can arrange for your date.
