Ganpati pagdi in Vadodara
During Ganeshotsav, the pagdi is part of how Bappa is dressed for the festival. We prepare pagdis for Ganesh idols at home and in pandals, from structured Peshwai styles with a fan crest to softly wrapped multicolour pagdis.
A pagdi that suits the murti
Idols differ in size, posture and the shape of the head, so a pagdi that looks right on one murti can sit awkwardly on another. A clear photo and a few measurements help us suggest the right style and size.
Tell us the colours of the dhoti, shela and backdrop as well, so the pagdi sits naturally in the decoration.
What you can choose
- Peshwai-style pagdis with a fan crest
- Wrapped multicolour pagdis
- A feather kalgi or brooch to finish
- Phetas for the mandal’s procession
What to share with us
Our guide on measuring a Ganpati idol explains each step.
Photos
A clear front photo of the murti, plus one from the side if you can.
Measurements
The idol’s height, and the width of the head where the pagdi will sit.
Colours and date
The dhoti, shela and backdrop colours, and your sthapana date.
Two styles, many colours
Peshwai style
A structured pagdi with a pleated fan crest, as in the peach pagdi above. It gives the murti a regal outline and suits a traditional décor.
Wrapped style
Bands of colour wrapped around the head and finished with a feather kalgi, shown here in green, pink and purple. Easy to match to the dhoti and shela.

Questions
Can you make a pagdi for a large pandal idol?
Send the idol’s height and photos and we will confirm what we can prepare.
Do I need to measure the idol?
A photo and the idol’s height are the minimum. The head width helps us get the size right. See how to measure.
When should I order?
Ganesh Chaturthi falls in August or September and many households and mandals prepare in the same weeks. Send your details as soon as the murti is chosen.
Do you also have phetas for the mandal procession?
Yes. See phetas for events and groups.
