The sherwani leads
The safa should belong to the outfit: tone-on-tone with a coloured border, a shade from the embroidery, or a clean contrast for rich fabrics.
The bride’s colour is respected
You will stand together in most photographs, so the safa supports her colour rather than competing with it.
Light changes everything
Matte fabrics and soft shades look natural in daylight. Zari, sequins and shimmer come alive under evening lights.
